MUT Celebrates Over 3,200 Graduates in joyful ceremonies marking a bright future for Africa

Over 3,200 students have reached an exciting milestone as they graduate from Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT). This graduation season was truly special, with many students celebrating their accomplishments and looking forward to what lies ahead. Nearly 30 of these graduates achieved cum laude honours, and a standout trio excelled even further, being the top performers in their faculties.

The university hosted six joyful graduation ceremonies from 22 to 24 April 2025 at the iconic Dr. Pixley ka Seme Hall. Many graduates expressed gratitude to their families for supporting them throughout their academic journeys. They expressed this in the usual MUT way by showing excellent traditional or contemporary dancing on stage.

During the ceremonies, MUT Chancellor Mr Sandile Zungu encouraged the graduates to use their new skills to positively impact their communities. He emphasised that doing so would help strengthen Africa and pave the way for a brighter future for the continent. Congratulations to all the graduates.
