MUT Academy Soccer coach Sihle Hlabisa recently won one of the top awards. Hlabisa, an MUT alumni, won a Chairman’s Award for his sterling performance in 2024 as a soccer coach. Hlabisa was given his award during the recent Umlazi LFA (Local Football Association) 2023/24 season presentation. Under his guidance, he earned the award because his MUT Academy team won the Umlazi Premier League, the Regional Play-Offs, and the eThekwini Municipality Games with the Umlazi squad. The squad was a combination of Umlazi LFA clubs, which Hlabisa was coaching.
